Junior GolfMark
The Junior GolfMark is a
national accreditation scheme administered by the EGU
and ELGA. Honiton Golf Club was awarded the Junior
GolfMark in January 2004 because the Club meets the
recommended standards set in three areas:-

Child Protection
Junior
Membership
Members must be under the
age of 18 on the 1st of January of the
membership year. Junior members are bound by the Club’s
rules relating to subscriptions.
Prospective Junior
members must apply for membership through the Club’s
standard application process. Membership will only be
offered to children who have attended a course of golf
lessons with the Club PGA Professional, and who, in the
opinion of the Professional, have the potential to at
least achieve a handicap of 28 (boys) or 36 (girls), or
to children who already have a handicap at a recognised
golf club.
It is a condition of
membership that the Club, the Junior, and their
Parent/Guardian sign a Partnership Agreement which sets
out the responsibilities of each party in complying with
Child Protection Policy, the Club Rules & Byelaws, and
the Rules of Golf.
